Painted Pumpkins – Hey

Design Team Time for The Card Concept (#230) Inspiration Board for both theme and colors for a clean and simple layered Greeting card.

Design choices influenced by As You See It (#383) Recipe Ingredients and sharing with Sunday Stamps (#396) for the colors and Fall theme along with Cupcake Inspirations (#643) and their Fall theme.

Here is the result:

PAINTED PUMPKINS BUNDLE – TCC230 – AYSI383 – SSC396 – CIC643

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla Grid patterned piece of paper from the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The sentiments, Hey and I hope your day is fabulous, from the Painted Pumpkins stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with retired Pewter Embossing Powder.
  • Vertical Strip: (1¼” x 5¼”) Cajun Craze Dotted Stripe patterned piece of paper from the retired Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Grounding Shape – Circle: Pecan Pie Gingham Grid patterned piece of paper also from the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Focal Image – Pumpkins: (2¾” x 3¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The Triple Pumkin image was stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with the Light Golden Glow and the Light and Dark Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends Markers and then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Painted Pumpkins Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  Early Espresso Linen Twine (retired) was wrapped around the vertical strip, and a few Antique Bronze Dots (retired) were added to the card to complete the recipe.  The two forward Pumpkins were popped up with Mini Dimensionals.

A fun fall themed friendship card.  I am looking forward to seeing how you are inspired by the Card Concept Mood Board this month.

  1. Very nice, Jolanda! The warm autumnal colours are very inviting while your combining of three quite linear patterns is stylish indeed. Heat embossing the sentiment was a great way to make it stand out. I like the neat and tidy way you’ve added the twine element. Thanks very much for cooking us up such a delight for our recipe challenge this week at As You See It.
