Poetic Petals – Beautiful Birthday

A quick clean and simple birthday card for you today for: CAS on Friday (#339) with a Floral theme and Color Dare (#713) for the Palette

Sharing with Little Red Wagon (#869) One Thing – Die and Paper Craft Crew (#683) for a simple and easy card to make.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Darling Duckling cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) White Cut Card Base left over from a previous project (Washes of Gratitude Card Kit).
  • Using the Double Frame and Floral die from the Poetic Petals Dies set, a sneak peek coming in September, the (2⅛” x 2⅛”) Square opening and the Floral Frame were die-cut from the panel.
  • The sentiment, Have a beautiful birthday, from the Poetic Petals stamp set was stamped with Darling Duckling ink.
• Under Panel: (2½” x 2½”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper painted with a light Darling Duckling watercolor wash using the Wide Water Painter Brush.
• Floral Inset colored with the Light and Dark Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Markers.

All elements were adhered to the card base, keeping the styling clean and simple. 

A sweet little Birthday card.
