Let’s Have Cake – Words & Wishes

Welcome back!  Happy Saturday.  Hoping that you are able to carve out some time to be creative today.

Clean and Simple for AAA Cards (#314) with a Cake theme for their 12th Anniversary

Choosing the CAS Colours & Sketches (#585) Layout with the Color Dare (#704) Palette to complete my design.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Leaf Accent image from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped diagonally with Petunia Pop ink.
• Block: (2” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock colored with Summer Splash ink applied with a Blending Brush for a soft look.
  • The sentiment, You make life sweeter than cake, from the Words & Wishes stamp set was stamped with Summer Splash ink.
• Focal Image – Cake: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Cake image, also from the Words & Wishes stamp set was stamped with Petunia Pop ink and colored with the Peach Pie, Summer Splash and Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The Cake was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Words & Wishes Dies set and closely trimmed with Paper Snips.
• The Cake was temporarily adhered in place on the Block with low-tack adhesive and the Candle image, also from the Words & Wishes stamp set, was inked with both Summer Splash and Peach Pie inks and stamped in place above the Cake.
• The Cake was removed and Dimensionals were added. The Cake was then popped back in place.

Adhere all layers together and we are done!
