City Sights – Thinking of You

Welcome back!  How about a great card for a guy?

Design Team Time for Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#563).  Where we select cards from the Catalogs and remake them as we are inspired.  Today’s inspiration can be found on page 68 of the May – Aug 2026 Catalog.

My design choices were influenced by: Little Red Wagon (#856) with a New York State of Mind theme.

Further to that idea, I am sharing this card with Shopping Our Stash (#572) with an Up, Up and Away (Things in the Sky) theme and Alphabet (Letter A) for Air, also things that are up in the air and I chose Skyscrapers.  I am also sharing this card with Crafter’s Café (#329) for an Anything Goes theme that has no Square Shapes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Brushed Basic Beige trimmed card base (back-side) from the retired City Sights Stampin’ Up! Card Kit.
• Banner: (5” x 3¼”) Subtle City Skyline trimmed card base (front-side) hand notched with Paper Snips.
• Circle Shape: (3¼” x 3¼”) Vellum Specialty Paper die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Second Shape – Skyscrapers: Basic Beige pre-cut piece from the Kit.
  • The City Buildings image from the Kit was stamped with Pebbled Path ink.
• The Sentiment Banner and Corrugated Strip are found in the Kit.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the mirror image of the sketch.  The City Buildings Panel was popped up with Dimensionals. 

This was such a cool kit.  Did you get it?  Do you still have pieces about?  I had fun putting this together.
