Flowers Fair – Thankful

Hi! Design Team Time for Tic Tac Toe (#291).  Eight possibilities and so much choice.  For my board this round, I selected the top left diagonal line, The elements: CAS, Emboss and the color Red.

My theme choice was influenced by Stampin’ Up! Only (#399) for Spring Flowers.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • A section of Flowers from the Flowers Fair Background stamp, an On-Line Exclusive product, was selectively inked with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder, as was the sentiment, Thankful for you, from the new Fern & Flora stamp set, available in May.
  • Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter, Real Red, Lemon Lime Twist and Cloud Cover inks, the Flowers were watercolored.
  • The Splatter image from the retired Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set, was randomly stamped with Smoky Slate ink to finish off the card.

Add the card front to the card base, and you are done.

With the choice of flower and the color red, along with the sentiment, I had Anzac Day in mind when creating this card.
