Wanted To Say – Happy Birthday

Hi again!  Catching a few upcoming deadlines with a bright and fun Birthday card.

The challenges: Shopping Our Stash (#570) to not use any white; Cupcake Inspiration (#635) for the Colors; and choosing elements from Pick 3 (#2603) to create the card: Stripes, Dies and Text.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Melon Mambo cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Granny Apple Green cardstock. (Note: In the photo, the Granny Apple Green looks a little more like Lemon Lime Twist).
• Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Stripe Strips: (⅛” x 4¼”) Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green cardstocks.
    • The Strips were adhered to the left bottom corner and then the Panel was dry-embossed with the retired Star-Crossed Embossing Folder.
• Sentiment Text and Stars: Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green cardstock scraps die-cut with the retired Wanted To Say Dies coordinating Happy Birthday and Background dies along with the Stars die.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  Fun Colors, no White and Text with Stripes using Dies.  Happy Birthday!
