Artisan Garden – Notes of Spring

Welcome back!  Wishing you a Happy Easter weekend.

Today’s Floral card gives you a sneak peek of the new Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper.  Great black and white patterns perfect for adding color.

The challenge mash up: Krafty Chicks (#814) with a Birthday theme and Seize the Birthday (#323) to add a Tag.

The current Freshly Made (#730) Sketch was ideal for tags and I chose Creative Colors (#234) for the palette.

Here is the result:

ARTISAN SKETCHED GARDEN DSP – NOTES Of SPRING – KCC814 – STB323 – FMS730 – CCC234

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Happiest Birthday Wishes, from the Notes of Spring stamp set, the Exclusive Product of the Month for March 2026, still available with a qualifying purchase, was stamped with Cajun Craze ink and then dry-embossed with the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Side Strip: (1¼” x 5½”) Berry Burst Watercolor patterned piece of paper found in my stash, from the retired Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack, hand torn.
  • Shapes – Tags: (2” x 3”) Berry Burst, Garden Green and Basic White cardstock scraps die-cut with Tag dies from the retired Designer Tags Dies set.
  • Focal Image – Flowers: A fussy-cut image from the Flower Vases / Pots patterned piece of paper from the new (available in May) Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper pack colored with Stampin Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Flowers – Light and Dark Berry Burst; Pot – Light and Dark Cajun Craze; and Leaves – Light Old Olive combined with Light Shaded Spruce to get to a Garden Green tone.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A white Baker’s Twine Bow was added to the Tag(s), completing the card.

A pretty birthday card…
