Touches of Texture – Get Well Card

Design Team Time for Hand Stamped Sentiments (#484) with a lovely Monochromatic palette of colors.

My design was influenced by: Just Add Ink (#781) for a Winged element; Shopping Our Stash (#569) to include a Number; and Just Us Girls (#814) to add Embossed Elements and that list sent me to my stash of retired favorite stamp sets.

Here is the result:

TOUCHES OF TEXTURE – POSTAGE COLLECTION – FRIENDLY FOLIAGE – HSSCC484 – JAI781 – SOS569 – JUGS814

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Linen Splotch image from the retired Touches of Texture stamp set was stamped along the left side with Soft Sea Foam and Cloud Cover inks.
    • The Floral image and the Dragonfly image from the same stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
    • Color was added to both these images using Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Flower Petals – Dark Misty Moonlight; Leaves – Dark Soft Sea Foam; Dragonflies – Light Soft Sea Foam and Light and Dark Cloud Cover.
    • The Wreath Ring and No. 1 images from the retired Postage Collection stamp set were stamped with 2nd Generation Misty Moonlight (stamped off once) and Cloud Cover inks, respectively.
    • The sentiment, Get Well Soon, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base and a few Moody Palette Glossy Dots, Cloud Cover and Basic White, were added to complete the card.

Soft and pretty.  A nice get well card.

I look forward to seeing how you are inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Colors this round.
