Cutest Crew – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  Friday has arrived…already the end of the week…

Today, I am playing with Make My Monday (#271) for a Masculine card for a little fellow; Little Red Wagon (#848) to include an Animal; Creative Colour (#230) for the neutral Palette; and bringing it all together with the current Freshly Made (#726) Sketch.

Here is the result:

CUTEST CREW – MMM272 – LRW848 – CCC230 – FMS726

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Side Panel: (1¼” x 5¼”) Early Espresso Two-Tone cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder that was then sanded using a Sanding Block to highlight the texture.
  • Strip: (½” x 5¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
    • The Paw Prints image from the Cutest Crew stamp set, a new On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
  • Accent Mat: (3” x 2½”) Pecan Pie cardstock die-cut with the (2¾” x 2⅜”) Octagonal Label die from the Forever Florals Dies set, another new On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Sentiment Label: (3” x 2½”) Basic Beige cardstock die-cut with the (2⅜” x 2⅛”) Octagonal Label die, from the same Dies set.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, also from the Cutest Crew stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
  • Decoration – Pups: (4” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Dogs image, again from the Cutest Crew stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie along with the Color Lifter to add variation.
  • The Pups were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Pups were popped up with Dimensionals.

A really cute children’s birthday card.
