Faerie Dust – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  Happy Thursday…

It is March and the time for green and gold with a little magic thrown in.  That said, this card was created with a few challenges in mind.

Paper Players (#775) Mythical Creatures and mine is a Woodland Sprite, Seize the Birthday (#321) Anything with Wings, and Retro Rubber (#266) with Celtic imagery and a green/gold theme.

Bringing these ideas together, I selected the Sunday Stamps (#380) Sketch.

Here is the result:

NEW WONDERS – CHARMING DAY – PP775 – STB321 – RRCB266 – SSC380

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock, a misty morning green.
  • Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White Thick cardstock.
    • The Faerie with the Leaves image from the retired New Wonders stamp set (circa 2019) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder as was the sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the retired Charming Day stamp set.
    • The Faerie was colored with the Light and Dark Soft Sea Foam and the Leaves with the Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Vertical Cross Strips: (⅝” x 5¼”) Gold Metallic Glimmer Tape (retired) and (⅜” x 5¼”) Lost Lagoon Splatter patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2026 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

A sweet birthday card.  Simply stamped with just stamps, ink and paper.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!

  2. Your little woodland sprite is so cute in green and gold, and I love how it looks like she’s turning a page in a book since so many of my favorite books involve mythical creatures : ) Thanks for playing along with us at The Paper Players!
