Friendly Foliage – Here For You

Design Team Time: The Atlantic Hearts (#670) Sketch. 

My design choices were influenced by: the Give a Crafter a Cookie (#213) suggested colors and Double D (#260218) for a loving Friendship card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Glass Embossing Folder.
• Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 4⅛”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3” x 4”) Summer Splash / Cloud Cover Floral Grid patterned piece of paper from the Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Some of the “Squares” in the Grid were colored with the Light Strawberry Slush and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers to add in the pink and red tones.
• Tag: (2½” x 3½”) Summer Splash cardstock die-cut with the (2⅜” x 3⅜”) Shaped Label die from the retired Tasteful Labels Dies set.
• Sentiment Circle: (2” x 2”) Strawberry Slush cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Here for you always, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Scallop Circle die, also from the Tasteful Labels Dies set.
• Decoration – Butterflies: Basic White cardstock scraps die-cut with the Butterfly die from the retired Designer Tags Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and a small Bow made with the retired Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding was added to the Tag.

Two Friends, two Butterflies, always there for each other…
