Spring Tea – Good Friends

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.

Blending a number of similar challenges for a lovely friendship card.

Starting with the Just Us Girls (#811) Mood Board with a sweet “drink” image in soft pinks and tying in the Inspired By (#366) Tea Garden Inspiration Photo.

Adding in some Chocolate for As You See It (#366) with a Candy theme and sharing with Can You Handle The Pressure (#260214) to add some Dies with some Embossing.

Here is the result:

TEA TOGETHER – NOTHING BETTER THAN – PERFECTLY PEARS – JUGS811 – IB376 – AYSI366 – CYHTP260214

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock dry-embossed with the new Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product available in March.
  • Decoration – Tea Pot, Tea Cup and Chocolate Plate: Basic White cardstock.
    • The Tea Pot and the Tea Cup Outline images from the retired Tea Together stamp set were stamped with retired Soft Suede ink.
    • The Floral images, from the same stamp set, were added to the Tea Pot and Tea Cup, also with Soft Suede ink.
    • The Chocolate Bob Bons Outline image from the retired Nothing Better Than stamp set was also stamped with Soft Suede ink and again on to a Post-It-Note.  The Post-It-Note image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips and used as a Mask.
    • With the Mask in place and using the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool, the Tea Cup Plate edging was inked with the Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker and added around the Chocolates.  Missing Plate details were added by hand using the Marker.
    • All images were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Porcelain – Nude (retired) and Dark Petal Pink; Flowers and Chocolates – Dark Bubble Bath and Light Flirty Flamingo; and Leaves – Light Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green.
    • The Tea Pot and Tea Cup were die-cut with the coordinating retired Tea Time Framelits Dies and the Chocolate Plate was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, A good friend is a gift, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, still available but now on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Soft Suede ink and die-cut with the (2¼” x 1”) Stitched Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, another On-Line Exclusive product.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Tea Cup and the Sentiment were both popped up with Dimensionals.

Sharing a nice cuppa with a friend – how delightful…

  1. Those soft colours are really appealing – as are those sweet pink chocolates nestled amongst the tea things. I really like the folder you’ve chosen for the card front – it works so well with the flowers and adds a feel of vintage romance. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It.
