Welcome back! Happy Saturday – Happy Valentine’s Day – Happy to be in the Studio!
Today’s challenge combination: Facebook’s Global Design Project (#534) Sketch with Seize the Birthday (#320) for a CAS, clean and simple card, using Dies and choosing the CAS Colours & Sketches (#578) Palette.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
- Window Inset: (3” x 4”) Soft Sea Foam Splatter patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2026 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
- Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Window Aperture was die-cut with the (2¼” x 3½”) Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- The Embossed Window Frame was created using the (2⅝” x 3⅞”) Arch die, from the same set and the retired Big Shot Embossing Mats with my Big Shot Embossing Machine.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set, the Exclusive January 2026 Product of the Month, still available with a qualifying purchase, was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
- Decoration – Floral Spray: (2½” x 4¼”) Pool Party and Pretty Peacock cardstocks die-cut with the coordinating Flower dies from the Fragrant Layers Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Flowers popped up with Dimensionals.
A pretty collection of colors for a clean and simple birthday card using dies.
