Bloom with Hope

Welcome back!  Delving into my personal stash as a happy paper hoarder for this one…

Playing with the Freshly Made (#723) Sketch.

My design was influenced by: Retro Rubber (#265) Tic Tac Toe – Die Cut / Pearls / and Pretty Papers for my free choice; Paper Players (#772) for the Colors; and choosing a Vintage Shabby Chic style for Double D (#260204).

Here is the result:

BLOOM WITH HOPE – FMS723 – RRCB265 – PP772 – DD260204

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Vintage Floral patterned paper from my personal stash (6” x 6”) trimmed.
    • Additional color was added to the pink-toned floral element with the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blender Markers.
  • Accent Panel and Trim: (4” x 2½”) Petal Pink and (4” x 1”) Calypso Coral cardstocks hand torn along the bottom edge.
    • All three of these papers were dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a vintage linen look.
  • Shape – Branch & Birds: From another sheet of Vintage patterned paper, the Birds were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.  Basic Beige ink was added to the “white” areas with a Sponge Dauber to blend better with the floral paper.
  • Sentiment Label: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Every year knowing you is a very good year, from the retired Bloom with Hope stamp set (circa 2014), was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and die-cut with the Label die from the Lovely Arrangements Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
    • Lost Lagoon ink was added to the edge of label with a Sponge Dauber.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Birds and Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.  A Basic Beige Classic Ribbon Bow and Antique Pearls were added to complete the vintage shabby chic design.
