Sending Love – Friendly Foliage

Welcome back!  Design Team Time for the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#551) Sketch, found on page 34, with which I took a few liberties with element placements.

My choices were influenced by the Inspire Create (#209) Love theme and the Just Add Ink (#778) Colors, of which you had to use a minimum of three.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Lost Lagoon Two-Tone cardstock (light side) dry-embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder, still available but now on the Last Chance List. Using a Sanding Block, the Panel was sanded to bring out the white core, highlighting the pattern.
• Accent Mat: (3¼” x 4½”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Balmy Blue Leafy patterned piece of paper from the True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper pack, the December 2026 Product of the Month, also still available with a qualifying purchase.
• Shape – Rectangle: (5½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background: (2½” x 3¾”) dry-embossed with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Decoration: The Boxed Leaf image, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, another On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Friendly Foliage Dies set.
• Sentiment Tags: Lost Lagoon cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Sending Love, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder, cut apart and trimmed.  Approximate Sizes: (1⅛” x ½”) and (⅝” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base but set off center for more interest.  The Decorative Panel and the Sentiment Tags were popped up with Dimensionals and a few White Moody Palette Glossy Dots, also an On-Line Exclusive product, were added to complete the card.

A soft pretty colored card suitable for a variety of occasions.
