Extraordinary Flora – Celebrate

Welcome back!  I have a pretty birthday card for you today…

The brief: Krafty Chicks (#806) Birthday and AAA Birthday (#82) for a Slim Line card choosing this week’s Facebook’s Global Design Project (#533) Colors.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) Petal Pink cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¼” x 5¾”) Pretty Peacock cardstock dry-embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder, still available but now on the Last Chance List.
• Focal Panel: Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and Basic White cardstock.
  • The two color variations of the Washi Tape were adhered to (3½” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.  The purple-toned floral pattern was trimmed to (3” x 4⅜”) and dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a bit of texture.  The pink-toned floral pattern was die-cut with the coordinating Extraordinary Flora Die to add the ephemera to the Panel for decoration.
•  Sentiment Cross Strip: (3” x ¾”) Strawberry Slush cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Celebrate, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then also dry-embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

All elements were adhered to the card base and decorated with Flowers popped up with Dimensionals.

Fun to use the very pretty washi tape for this slim line birthday card.
