Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#665). Lots of layers, lots of opportunity, kept simple with a unifying color.

My design was influenced by: Facebook’s Global Design Project (#531) Heart theme, Addicted to CAS (#299) Glass theme, and choosing the Color Dare (#686) Pink Palette.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Strawberry Slush cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Vertical Strip: (1¼” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with retired Cross Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Banner: (2” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (1⅞” x 3⅝”) Banner die from the retired Banner Framelits Dies set and then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Scallop Accent Mat: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (1½”) Scallop Circle die from the retired Layering Circles Framelits Dies set. The edges were colored with Strawberry Slush ink applied with a Sponge Dauber.
- Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (1⅜”) Circle die, also from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies set.
- Decoration – Glass Vase and Heart Stems: Basic White, Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and retired Regal Rose cardstock scraps.
- The Open Vase image from the retired Varied Vases stamp set was stamped with Pool Party ink.
- The In-Fill Vase image was partially inked with Pool Party ink and stamped off once (2nd Generation) and stamped within the Open Vase image.
- The Double Stem Flower image and the Single Stem image were lightly stamped in the Vase with Granny Apple Green ink and then the Vase was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- The Banner, Circle and Vase were adhered together, and I used the Fine-Tipped end of the retired old Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker to darken and extend the Stems beyond the Vase.
- Using the retired Owl Builder Punch, four Hearts were punched out and popped up with cut Dimensional bits to the tops to the Stems.
- Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, With Love, from the Extraordinary Flora stamp set was stamped with Strawberry Slush ink and die-cut with the Small Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble a variation of the sketch. The Banner and Sentiment were also all popped up with Dimensionals.

Thanks…treating them as neutrals. Glass and water are hard to depict without a little bit of tint.
