Snow Front – With Love

Welcome back!  A brand-new week and we are off to a start in my favorite style – Clean and Simple.

Combining: Paper Players (#769) Signs of Winter theme with the CAS on Friday (#325) Snowman theme.  Choosing the CAS Colours & Sketches (#576) Palette and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#803) for their CAS week.

Here is the result:

WHITE CHRISTMAS – SNOW FRONT – EXTRAORDINARY FLORA – PP769 – COS325 – CC&S576 – KCC803

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Secret Sea cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • My favorite little Snowman image, from the retired White Christmas stamp set was stamped with Secret Sea ink onto the card front and again on to a Post-It Note.
    • The Snowman was fussy-cut with Paper Snips and used as a Mask.
    • With the Mask in place:
      • The Trees and Snowbank image from the retired Snow Front stamp set was chosen.  Only the Trees were inked with Old Olive Ink and stamped off once (2nd Generation) for a light shadow Tree-Line effect.
      • Using the Secret Sea Stampin’ Write Marker, the Snowbank was colored and stamped off twice (3rd Generation) and added for the light shadow effect.
      • Using the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker, the Snowbank was colored again and stamped off once and turned upside down for the grounding Snow shadow.
      • The Single Tree image, from the same stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink for a more defined set of Trees.
  • The Mask was removed, and the Snowman was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Snowman highlights – Light Balmy Blue; Hat & Scarf – Light Cherry Cobbler; and Nose – Light Pumpkin Pie.
  • The Snow image from the White Christmas stamp set was stamped with 2nd Generation Secret Sea ink.
  • The sentiment, With Love, from the Extraordinary Flora stamp set was stamped using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker and I used my Black Fine-Tipped Gel Pen to add a bit more definition to the font.

A little Snowman with wide open arms for a great big hug…spreading a little winter love…
