Lovely Arrangements – Love You Birthday

Welcome back!  What fun to create with some new products…

Playing with the Global Design Project (#528) challenge to CASE (copy and selectively edit) a card created by Ann Alexander.

Takeaways: Layers, Die Cuts, Embossing, Florals, and Layout.

Additional influences: Christmas (or not) Bingo (#17) Letter ‘O” for Rectangle, Stitching, Patterned Paper and Dies for my Free Space; Little Red Wagon (#839) Use the Force to add Embossing and/or Die Cuts; Moving Along With The Times (#185) to use Dies; and Krafty Chicks (#801) for a Birthday Styled Card.

Here is the result:

LOVELY ARRANGEMENTS BUNDLE – GDP528 – CONCB17 – LRW839 – MAWTT185 – KCC801

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Accent Mat #1: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
    • Hint: Cardstock Conservation.  Cut the Large Leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony Dies set, from the new Jan – Apr 2026 Mini Catalog, from the Panel and then stamp the sentiment, Love You, from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, with Versamark ink, heat-set with White Embossing Powder and die-cut with the Elongated Oval Label die, from the coordinating Lovely Arrangements Dies set.
  • Accent Mat #2: (4” x 5¼”) Petal Pink cardstock.
  • Accent Mat #3: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Calypso Coral cardstock.
  • Card Front: (3¾” x 5”) Floral patterned piece of paper from the Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper pack, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Vertical Cross Strip: (1¼” x 5⅜”) Very Vanilla cardstock dry-embossed with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder, another On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Focal Image – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The two Floral images from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set were stamped twice with Calypso Coral ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Petals – a combination of Light and Dark Petal Pink and Calypso Coral and Floral Centers – Dark Darling Duckling.
    • The Flowers were then die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Lovely Arrangement Dies set.
    • The top Flowers were further fussy-cut with Paper Snips separating the Petals which were then curled.

All elements were arranged to resemble Ann’s card.  The Blooms were popped up with Dimensionals and a few retired Petal Pink Low Profile Dots were added to complete the card.

A pretty feminine card just perfect to celebrate a loved one’s birthday.
