Sweet Thoughts – I Love You

Welcome back!  A New Year and a bit of Studio reorganization. 

I came across a lot of retired but delightful favorite stuff.  Put it away or play?

Play was the order of the day, so I created a card catching up with the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#543) Sketch that I didn’t have time to do over the holidays. The sketch can be found on page 19 of the September 2025 – December 2026 Mini Catalog.

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create. 

The bright and fun floral and butterfly designs in the retired  Sweet Thoughts Memory & More Collections – Card Pack with Stickers and the coordinating Card Bases & Envelopes were just the ticket for Color Dare (#683).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Calypso Coral card base cut in half and trimmed.
• Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 4⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Floral patterned piece of paper from the inside of the Calypso Coral envelope cut apart and trimmed.
• Flag: Pretty Peacock cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2⅛” x ⅞”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shaped Dies set.
• Sentiment Label Mat: Calypso Coral cardstock scrap trimmed to be just a bit bigger than (2½” x 1”).
• Sentiment Label: (3” x 4”) Butterfly & Sentiment card trimmed to (2½” x 1”) for just the sentiment.
• Decoration Shapes – Flowers: Floral Stickers.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble a variation of the sketch.

A pretty appreciation card for someone special…
