‘Twas a Night Well Done – Merry Christmas Santa

Welcome back!  Ho, Ho, Ho to you…

A couple of challenges have a Santa theme: Moving Along with the Times (#184); If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#211) and Love Those Pretty Papers (#18).

My design choices were influenced by Festive Friday (#199) and I chose the As You See It (#362) Sketch to bring it all together.

Here is the result:

SANTA’S WORKSHOP – MAWTT184 – CC211 – LTPP018 – FF0199 – AYSI362

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Garden Green cardstock dry-embossed with the Glass Embossing Folder, recently added to the Last Chance List.
  • Rectangular Blocks: Red, Green & White Diagonal Stripe, Green Star and Red Dot patterns of paper from the retired Take a Bow Designer Series Paper pack. Sizes: Striped (1½” x 5¼”); Starred (1¾” x 4¼”); and Dotted (2” x 3½”).
  • Circular Shape: (4” x 6”) card – Reclining Santa from the retired Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Card Pack die-cut with the (3½” x 2½”) Oval die from the retired Oval Collection Framelits Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: From the reverse side of the Reclining Santa card, the Merry Christmas sentiment was trimmed.  Size: (3¾” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both Santa and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals and the Date Sticker (Dec 26) from the Card Pack was added for fun.

For the busy and now tired “Santa”, who made sure everything was ready for Christmas!

Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!

  1. This is such a jolly card, Jolanda! I like the texture of the card front and the choice of papers you’ve used for the panels. I really like this paper and was using some from my stash only yesterday. You’ve certainly used the Memories and More pack to great advantage. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It.
