Christmas Roses – Layers of Beauty

Design Team Time for both The Card Concept (#222) and Atlantic Hearts (#659). 

The Sketch suggested Florals and by choosing to use flowers, I am sharing with The Flower Challenge (#109) for their Christmas Flowers theme.  The Inspiration Photo led to the color choice with an overall Christmas theme.  I am also sharing this card with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (#202512) Anything Goes theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Sentiment Tag: (2” x 3”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • The sentiment, With loving wishes for a bright and beautiful season, from the retired Embellished Ornaments stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1¾” x 2½”) Tag die from the retired Designer Tags Dies set.
• Decoration – Christmas Roses: (5½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The large Floral image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Roses and Leaves were colored with the Light and Dark Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The Roses and Leaves were fussy-cut with Paper Snips and arranged in a cluster on the card with the Roses popped up with Dimensionals.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. 

A pretty Christmas card.
