Holiday Joy

Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#478), we have a lovely set of colors. Perfect for Christmas.

My design choices were influenced by: The Male Room (#205) to create a guy card with Red & Green; Simply Clean & Simple (#2512) to create a clean and simple card using Red & Green; and Tic Tac Toe (#285) Left vertical line to add Texture, White and a Plaid.

I am sharing this card with We Love Stamping (#07DEC25) also for Red & Green and Addicted To Stamps & More (#507) for their Christmas theme.

Here is the result:

ABUNDANT JOY DIES – HSSCC478 – TMR205 – SCS2512 – TTTC285 – WLS07DEC25 – ATSM507

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4” x 2⅝”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
  • Plaid Panel: (3¾” x 2⅜”) Cut Gift Box from the Wrapped in Cheer November 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  The Box has a Basic Beige and Basic White Gingham pattern.
    • Using my newly retired Shaded Spruce and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers, I created the Plaid Pattern.
  • Tag: Using the Tag die from the Abundant Joy Dies set, a Paper Pumpkin Add-On product. The Tag was die-cut from the center of the Shaded Spruce Accent Mat.
    • For texture, the Tag was dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Sentiment: Real Red Dotted patterned scrap from the retired Take A Bow Designer Series Paper pack.  The sentiment, Joy, was die-cut with the Joy die, also from the Abundant Joy Dies set.
  • Decoration – White Leaf: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with small Leaf die from the retired Mixed Labels Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Tag was popped up with Dimensionals and a bit of White Baker’s Twine was added.

A nice clean and simple holiday card, quite suitable for a fellow.

I look forward to seeing what you will create with the Hand Stamped Sentiments colors this round.

  1. The seasonal colours are perfect for our theme at We Love Stamping, but as the name suggests we are a stamping challenge and don’t think there is any on your card?
