Fun & Festive – Christmas Wishes

Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#542) Sketch.  Today’s card can be found on page 30 of the September 2025 – December 2026 Mini Catalog.

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create.

My design choices were influenced by: Shopping Our Stash (#562) to create a child appropriate card; Inspired By (#365) for the child-like gnome toy and Christmas theme; and We Love Stamping (#07DEC25) for the red and green colors.

Here is the result:

FUN & FESTIVE – SANTA’S WORKSHOP – CT542 – SOS562 – IB365 – WLS07DEC25

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Poppy Parade Two-Tone cardstock (dark side) dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and then sanded with a Sanding Block (from my Tools stash) to bring out the white core highlights.
  • Accent Panel: (3½” x 4½”) Red and Green Diagonal patterned piece of paper from the retired Take a Bow Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Focal Panel: (3” x 4”) cards – Toy Making Elf and Poppy Parade Diagonal from the retired Santa’s Workshop memories & More Card Pack.
    • The Poppy Parade Circle Sentiment card had previously been die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set for another project.  The remaining Circle frame was trimmed to (2¾” x 3½”).
    • The Toy Making Elf card was trimmed to fit within the Circle die-cut
  • Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Happy Christmas Wishes, from the retired Fun & Festive stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and trimmed to (2⅞” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals

A great little Xmas card for a young fellow.
