Welcome back! Happy Sunday. Hoping you get a chance to be creative today…
Over at Little Red Wagon (#836), this week, the theme is Sympathy and I created this card with Beautiful Blossoms (#35) and Time Out (#303) in mind and sharing with Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#202512).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
- Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Cloud Cover / Secret Sea Floral patterned piece of paper from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper pack.
- Using a small Stiff Bristle Brush (in my tools collection), I added Versamark ink and Silver Embossing Powder to adorn the petals of the Roses.
- For Time Out: The Blue Sparkly areas behind the Girls, choosing the Blue Florals and thinking about fabric adding Silver Embossing as thread used to add decoration to the Sari fabrics.
- For Beautiful Blossoms: Choosing the deep blue Roses and the light blue Eucalyptus elements from the Bouquet inspiration photo.
- Using a small Stiff Bristle Brush (in my tools collection), I added Versamark ink and Silver Embossing Powder to adorn the petals of the Roses.
- Accent Circle: Secret Sea cardstock scrap punched out with the (1¾”) Circle Punch.
- Sentiment Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Sending the healing power of love, from the Prairie Grass stamp set, now on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Versamark ink and also heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1¾”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. The die is just bit smaller.
The card front was added to the card base. A (4” x ¼’) strip of scrap patterned paper, also from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper pack was added across under the Sentiment that was popped up with Dimensionals.
Always handy to have a few sympathy cards on hand as they are difficult to make when you really need one and are experiencing grief.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

It’s so nice when the paper does the majority of the work! This is such a pretty card. Thanks for sharing with us at HQCOL and Beautiful Blossoms 🙂

I’m echoing the previous comments about the patterned paper! It’s gorgeous and adding the silver embossing powder adds a lovely shine and sparkle when the card is tipped and catching light! The sentiment is a powerful one for sympathy, offering empathy. Beautiful! Thanks for creating and sharing for the S in BEWAS code (sympathies) main themes at HQCOLCB! — Becca

This is a beautiful card. The paper is wonderful and I love the detail of the added embossing. I don’t really see how the card is inspired by our photo. In the future, if it is not obvious, please add a description of how our photo or other prompt inspires you. Thanks, and thanks for playing at Time Out. Wishing you a happy holiday season!

This was how I was inspired as I wrote further down in my post.
For Time Out: The Blue Sparkly areas behind the Girls, choosing the Blue Florals and thinking about fabric adding Silver Embossing as thread used to add decoration to the Sari fabrics.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. It is most appreciated.
