Swirled Designs – Celebrate Note Card Set

Welcome back!  A few clean and simple cards for you today…

Over at TGIF (#553), the brief is to create a set of cards.  I wanted something fun and easy to duplicate and chose Coastal Cabana and Azure Afternoon from Color Dare (#679) to play with.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Card Front: Using the Line Block and Splatter images from the Swirled Designs stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, the background design was created with Azure Afternoon ink.
• Decoration – Stars: (3” x 5½”) Coastal Cabana cardstock die-cut with the Star die from the coordinating Swirled Designs Dies set.
• Sentiment Banner: Azure Afternoon cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Celebrate, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Banner was trimmed to (2⅛” x ⅜”) and diagonally cut with Paper Snips.

The Stars were adhered in place.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.  Several Rhinestone Basic Jewels were colored with the Dark Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends Marker to match the Coastal Cabana coloring.

A nice clean and fresh single-layer celebration card, suitable for many occasions.
