Amber Autumn – Thanks

Welcome back!  Here’s to hoping you have some time to be creative this weekend.

I am playing with: Make My Monday (#265) with a thankful theme and creating a Thank You card within 30 minutes for Shopping Our Stash (#561); choosing Fall Colors for Color Throwdown (#845) and Double D (#111925); using Dies for Just Add Ink (#774) and bringing it all together with the Freshly Made (#713) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3½” x 4¾”) Cajun Craze / Old Olive Plaid patterned piece of paper from the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Background Panel: (2½” x 3¾”) Basic Beige cardstock dry-embossed with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder.
• Decoration – Greenery: Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Darling Duckling cardstock scraps die-cut with the Branch Element dies from the Branching Out Dies set.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Thanks, from the Amber Autumn stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink and then die-cut with the Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Using a Sponge Dauber, the edges were colored with Old Olive ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals. 

The trick to making a quick card is to give it a think, gather your supplies and tools and start.  This one with all its bits did take me right to the 30 minute mark.
