Branching Out – Birthday Wishes

Hi again! Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#656).  A lovely Frame -Up with lots of possibilities.

My design was influenced by: Seize The Birthday (#316) to use Christmas elements to create a birthday card and Inspired By (#326) for the Colors chosen – Copper, Gray and Champagne/Beige/White.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pebbled Path cardstock (retired) for the warmer gray tone.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Pebbled Path cardstock dry-embossed with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Background Panel: Champagne Foil / Basic Beige / Basic White Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Gathering Together Specialty Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (3⅛” x 4½”) Stitched Ticket Corner Rectangle die from the Branching Out Dies set.
• Frame: (2½” x 4”) Copper Textured Metallic Specialty Paper die-cut with the (2¼” x 3¾”) and (1¾” x 3¼”) Stitched Rectangle dies from the Textured Notes Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Decoration – Pinecones and Branches: Pebbled Path cardstock and Copper Metallic paper scraps die-cut with the Branch, Pinecone and Berry dies from the Branching Out Dies set.
• Sentiment Accent Scallop: Copper Metallic paper scrap punched out with the retired (1⅜”) Scallop Circle Punch.
• Sentiment: Basic Beige Grid Square patterned piece of paper scrap from the Gathering Together Designer Series paper pack.
  • The sentiment, Happiest Birthday Wishes, from the coordinating Branching Out stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder and then punched out with the retired (1¼”) Circle Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty card for someone with a birthday during the festive season.
