Noel

Welcome back!  Hoping that you will find time to be creative this weekend.  Happy Saturday.

Today I have holiday card for you…pretty much sourced from my box of useable discards that did not make it on another project or die-cuts created to conserve precious papers.

Principal Challenge: Jingle Belles (#2523) to use Holiday Leftovers.

Other influences: Little Red Wagon (#833) Gold or Silver and Just Add Ink (#733) for the Sketch.

Sharing with Time Out (#301) and Krafty Chicks (#794) for a Christmas card celebrating my Favorite Holiday.

Here is the result:

MANY MERRY MESSAGES – JB2523 – LRW833 – JAI733 – TOC301 – KCC794

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Gold Swirl patterned piece of paper from the retired Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Frame: Gold Foil discard that had been die-cut with the (3” x 4⅜”) and (2⅝” x 4”) retired Rectangle Stitched Rectangle Framlits Dies set.
  • Background Panel: Gold Foil discard that had been die-cut and embossed.  Die: (4” x 2⅝”) from the same Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies set and Embossing Folder: retired Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
  • Decoration – Ornament: Gold Foil discard that had been die-cut with Round Bauble die from the retired Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies set that was backed by a piece of retired Distressed Gold Specialty Paper scrap.
  • Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, noel, from the retired Many Merry Messages stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and die-cut with the (2⅝” x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, the Ornament and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.  The Ornament was topped with a Bow tied using retired Gold Metallic Ribbon.

All that glitters…holiday gold…
