For a Great Friend – Mixed Labels

Welcome back!  It is Friday and again where did the week go?

I have a happy little friendship card for you today.

The challenges: Facebook’s Global Design Project (#522) Sketch; with elements from the Festive Friday (#197) List Choice: Bright Colors, Patterned Paper and Ephemera; choosing the Color Throwdown (#844) Palette of Bright Colors.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Coastal Cabana cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4⅜” x 3⅛”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4¼” x 3”) Coastal Cabana Ombre Splotch patterned paper from the 2025 / 2026 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Three Shapes – Flowers: Black and White Floral from the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Pretty in Pink, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Summer Splash.
  • One of the Flowers and one of the Leafy Bits were trimmed off and all the “white borders” were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Label: Summer Splash cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, For a great friend, from the now retired Mixed Labels stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and trimmed to (2⅛” x ⅝”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, one Flower and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.  A few retired Summer Splash 2024 / 2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems were added for a bit of sparkle.

A pretty little card.
