Joyful Life – Season’s Greetings

Hi again!  Chasing a deadline…

The challenges: Inkspirational (#354) to add Knitted Elements; TGIF (#550) for the Colors; Critter Crazy (#104) to add an Animal; and bringing it all together the Freshly Made (#712) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Calypso Coral cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
• Panels: (4⅛” x 2¾”) Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper, an On-Line Exclusive product cut apart at (1⅛”).
  • Using Blending Brushes, the panels were colored with Calypso Coral ink (left) and Old Olive ink (right).
• Focal Image – Biking Friends: (3” x 3”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The Bear and Rabbit Biking image from the retired Joyful Life stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Rabbit Ear – Light Calypso Coral, Bear – Light Crumb Cake; Sweater – Light and Dark Calypso Coral; Mitts – Dark Calypso Coral; Bike – Dark Old Olive; Wheels – Light Smoky Slate; and Background Infill – Light Old Olive.
  • The image was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Season’s Greetings, from the same stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink and then die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Biking Friends and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals. 

One of my favorite stamp sets!  Those two look like they are having so much fun together.  Happy Holidays.
