I Miss You Already – As the Snow Begins to Fly

Design Time for The Card Concept (#221) and we have a Holiday Table Setting inspiration photo this month.  I picked up on the Light Teal and Dark Purple colors adding a Gold Touch to the Leaf themes.

I opted for a clean and graphic styling choosing the Inspire Create (#205) Sketch and details from the Tic Tac Toe (#283) Board – Center Vertical Line and choosing Die Cuts for the Free Space.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
• Background Panels: (1” x 4”); (¾” x 4”); (1¼” x 4”) and (2” x 4”) patterned pieces of paper from the 2025/2026 Subtles (Pool Party Stripe); 2025/2026 Brights (Coastal Cabana Leaves); and 2024/2026 In-Color (Summer Splash Leaves) Designer Series Paper packs, respectively.
• Focal Image – Leaf: (3” x 3”) Blackberry Bliss cardstock die-cut with the Maple Leaf die from the retired Intricate Leaves Dies set.
  • Leaf Underlay: (2” x 2¼”) Brushed Gold cardstock scrap retired but still in my stash.
  • The outline of the Maple Leaf die was traced and then the Leaf was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Banner: Blackberry Bliss cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, I Miss You Already, from The Right Words stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Sentiment was die-cut with the (2⅝” x ½”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A (4”) diagonally trimmed piece of retired Summer Splash Bordered Ribbon was cut and adhered under the Sentiment.  Both the Leaf and the Sentiment Banner were popped up with Dimensionals.

With yesterday’s early freeze and snow, I was already missing Fall…
