Welcome back! Happy Sunday…keeping it clean and very simple for a guy card.
Today I am playing with: The Male Room (#204) for a Masculine Floral card (two things that rarely go together); choosing the Creative Colours (#218) Palette; and the CAS Colours & Sketches (#572) Layout.
Sharing with: AAA Cards (#303) choosing the Floral option and CAS on Friday (#321) Birthday theme.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- Banner Flag: (2” x 4⅛”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock with the flagged end punched out with the retired Triple Banner Punch.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- Shape: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
- The Floral Image from the retired Limited Edition stamp set was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink and colored with the Light Timid Tiger and the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- The Flower was then punched out with the retired (1⅜”) Scallop Circle Punch.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Floral image was popped up with Dimensionals.
Strong colors with a simple floral element added to keep this birthday card clean and simple and suitable for a fellow.
