Sweet Ice Cream – Treat Yourself

Welcome back! Hoping you will be able to carve out some time to be creative this weekend.

Today I am playing with: Little Red Wagon (#832) with an Ice Cream theme: Krafty Chicks (#793) with a Birthday theme; choosing the Palette from Facebook’s Colour INKspiration (#198); and selecting the Freshly Made (#711) Sketch to bring my ideas all together.

I am also sharing this card with: Park Hopping – My Favorite Place (November) with a stop into the Ice Cream Shop while perusing all the other fantastic shopping opportunities at the theme park; and Can You Handle The Pressure (#25NOV08) with a Food and Drink Twist

Here is the result:

SWEET ICE CREAM – LRW832 – KCC793 – CI198 – FMS711 – PH November 2025 – CYHTP25NOV08

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Coastal Cabana cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) and (2” X 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The cardstock pieces were colored using the Shave Cream Technique with Pool Party, Real Red and Coastal Cabana ink drops from the Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill Bottles.
    • Using a fork, the colors were swirled, and the cardstocks were pressed into the cream and then removed.  The residual cream was removed and then left to dry.
    • Once dry, the full sheet was trimmed to (4” x 5¼”) and the other piece was reserved for later.
  • Large Circle Accent Mat: (3¼” x 3¼”) Real Red cardstock die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Small Circle Background: (2½” x 2½”) Pool Party cardstock die-cut with the (2¼”) Stitched Circle die from the same Dies set.
    • The Circles were adhered together and then dry-embossed with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder and trimmed (¾”) on the left side.
  • Sentiment Label: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Treat Yourself, from the retired Sweet Ice Cream stamp set was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink and die-cut with the (2⅛” x ⅞”) Stitched Banner die, also from the same Dies set.
  • Decoration – Ice Cream Cone: Basic Beige cardstock scrap and the previously created (2” x 5½”) Shaving Cream Colored Panel.
    • The Full Cone image, also from the retired Sweet Ice Cream stamp set, was stamped with Crumb Cake ink and then the Cone Cross Hatch image was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
    • Both the Cone and the Ice Cream Scoop were punched out using the coordinating retired Ice Cream Builder Punch.
    • The Dotted Sprinkles image was stamped with Real Red ink onto the Ice Cream Scoop.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Ice Cream Cone and Sentiment Banner were popped up with Dimensionals.  A few blue retired Opaque Faceted Gems were added for a bit of bling.

It was fun to play with the Shaving Cream…I hadn’t done that for some time. Every press creates a unique pattern.
