Country Floral – Thanks

Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#537) Sketch.  Today’s card can be found on page 39 of the September 2025 – December 2026 Mini Catalog.

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create.  I decided to go a monochromatic clean and simple design but keeping some of the texture.

My design choices were influenced by: The Flower Challenge (#108) for a Floral Thank You card; Paper Players (#762) Thankful for You card; and Paper Craft Crew (#645) Tic Tac Toe line Center vertical with Plaid, Metallic and Shape elements.

Here is the result:

LOVE & COURAGE – SPECIAL REASON – SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE – CT537 – TFC108 – PP762 – PCC645

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Background Panel (5¼” x 4”) Calypso Coral / Cajun Craze Gingham patterned piece of paper from the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
    • The sentiment, Thanks, from the retired Spotlight on Nature stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Cross Panel Accent Mat: (4⅜” x 1½”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Cross Panel: (4¼” x 1⅜”) Calypso Coral / Cajun Craze Plaid patterned piece of paper (reverse side) from the same Paper pack.
  • Shape – Flower: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Floral Half of the Flower image from the Love & Courage stamp set was stamped twice in Cajun Craze and twice in Calypso Coral inks and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
    • On the remaining scraps, the image was stamped again for the Floral Half Center in Pecan Pie ink, and also fussy-cut.
    • The Floral Halves were adhered to a support scrap and layered with the Floral Center added to finish.
  • Sentiment Banner: Cajun Craze cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, I’m lucky to have a good friend like you, from the retired Special Reason stamp set, was also stamped with Versamark ink and then heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and die-cut with the smallest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Flower and Sentiment Banner were popped up with Dimensionals. Basic Beige Classic Ribbon and retired Gold Thread were added behind the Flower. A few now retired Golden Low Profile Dots were added for a bit of bling.

A lovely Fall inspired Floral thank you card.
