Welcome back! A quick and easy card for you today pulling out a favorite paper pack from my stash of retired goodies.
The challenges: Paper Players (#761) Sketch – mirrored; Color Dare (#674) for the Palette, and sharing with Love Those Pretty Papers (#16) Anything Goes.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Highland Heather cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Fresh Freesia Spotted patterned piece of paper from the retired Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper pack.
- The sentiment, Merci, from the French version of the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Base Flag: (3⅝” x 1¼”) Basic Black cardstock hand-flagged with Paper Snips.
- Top Flag: (3¼” x ¾”) Basic White cardstock, also hand-flagged with Paper Snips.
- Circle: (3” x 3”) Pool Party Bird Floral patterned piece of paper, also from the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- The Flowers were colored with the light Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers.
All elements were adhered to the card base. The Circle was popped up with Dimensionals and a few pink and blue toned retired Tinsel Gems were added for a bit of sparkle.
A pretty little thank you card.

Such a charming design, Jolanda. The mirrored sketch layout is so well balanced, and the combination of soft purples with the Pool Party circle creates a lovely, serene palette. That sweet bird nestled among the florals adds a gentle, heartfelt touch, and the sparkle from the tinsel gems is just the right amount of magic. A beautiful way to showcase those treasured retired papers.
