Simply Said – Birthday Fall Bouquet

Welcome back! Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#653).  A pretty layout.

Design influences were inspired by: Seize the Birthday (#315) My Fall Treat – A Pretty Bouquet; Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#202510) for an Autumn themed Birthday; and the Creative Colours (#217) Palette substituting Crushed Curry for Daffodil Delight.

Here is the result:

SIMPLY SAID – MIXED LABELS – AHSC653 – STB315 – HQCOLCB202510 – CCC217

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Mossy Meadow Mini Floral patterned piece of paper from the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Accent Arch: (2¾” x 4¼”) Crushed Curry cardstock die-cut with the (2⅝” x 3⅞”) Stitched Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, as also an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Background Arch: (2½” x 3¾”) Very Vanilla cardstock die-cut with the coordinating (2¼” x 3½”) Stitched Arch die and then dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Decoration – Fall Bouquet: Crushed Curry, Pecan Pie, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze cardstock scraps.
    • The Crushed Curry, Pecan Pie and Cajun Craze die-cut elements are from the Branching Out Dies set.
    • The Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake die-cut element is from the Amber Autum Dies set.
  • Sentiment Banner: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
    • The Banner image from the now retired Mixed Labels stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped to fit the slight curves, also with Pecan Pie ink.
    • The Banner was then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Mixed labels Dies set, still available but on the Last Chance List.
    • Shading was added to the Banner with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty Fall birthday card.

  2. Your autumn bouquet is a stunning celebration of seasonal color and texture. The layered arches add such graceful movement, and the embossed brick detail brings cozy warmth to the design. I especially love how the sentiment banner curves so naturally—it’s a beautiful nod to the sketch while feeling completely organic. Every element feels thoughtfully chosen and harmoniously placed.
