Gift of Joy – Wrapped in Love

Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#475), we have a set of pretty cool colors.

My design was influenced by: Facebook’s Stampin’ Through the Catalog stamp set selection for today – Gift of Joy; AAA Cards (#302) to CASE Karen Roger’s card; and I am sharing this with Cupcake Inspirations (#629) for What Makes You Smile – Christmas Stockings.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (2¾” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a Blending Brush, Pool Party ink was added to create a grounding spot.
  • The Garland Outline image was stamped with Secret Sea ink as was the sentiment, Wishing you a season wrapped in love and tied up with joy.
  • The Garland Leaves were colored with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • The Floral In-fill image was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and using the Journaling Pen, Outlines were doodled around the Petals and the Berries.
• Decoration – Stocking & Bow: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Stocking Outline and Bow images were stamped with Secret Sea ink.
  • The Stocking In-Fill image was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Using a Sponge Dauber, Secret Sea ink was added to the Bow image.
  • The Stockings and Bow were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the general layout of Karen’s card with the Stockings and Bow popped up with Dimensionals.

A sweet little holiday card!
