Floral Sprig – Hello

Welcome back!  A country fresh floral hello card for you today…

The challenges: Just Us Girls (#798) to use stencils; Creative Colours (#216) for the palette; and Stampin’ Up! Only (#387) for the sketch layout.

Here is the result:

PERFECTLY PEARS – FLORAL SPRIG (CTMH) – JUGS798 – CCC216 – SUOC387

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Dark Wood patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Rectangle Panels: Petal Pink and Misty Moonlight Wood Boards from the same paper pack.  Cut sizes approximately (1¾” x 2”) and (1¾” x 2½”).
  • Circle: (3½” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired CTMH Floral Sprig Embossing Folder.
    • Using the coordinating retired CTMH Floral Sprig Stencils and Blending Brushes, Old Olive ink was added to the Leaves, Misty Moonlight ink to the Stems and Petal Pink ink to the Blossoms.
    • The Stenciled Embossed image was then die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The sentiment, Hello, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Focal Image popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty hello card.

  3. The layered textures and soft color palette create such a warm, inviting feel. I especially love how the stenciled floral sprig adds depth and movement to the focal circle. Your interpretation of the sketch is beautifully balanced and full of charm.
