Pretty in Pink – Snowflake Bauble Ornament

Welcome back! Today I am creating for Jingle Belles (#2521) to use pink for Breast Cancer and I chose to make an Ornament for Inspire Create (#203) using Facebook’s October SU! Colour choices substituting Berry Burst for Melon Mambo.

I am also sharing this project with Crafter’s Cafe (#324) with their Christmas Twist and Little Red Wagon (#830) to create something other than a card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Ornament Base: (6¼” x 10½” scored every (1¼”) on both sides) Old Olive cardstock.
  • I found the directions on Pinterest via Paper Pixie and used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, an On-Line Exclusive product, to create the fold lines.
• Decorative Squares: (1” x 1”) Berry Burst and Bubble Bath retired Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper.
• Decorative Snowflakes: Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper (retired) die-cut with the small Snowflake die from the retired Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies set.
  • The Ornament was folded along all the score lines, and the Square Decorations were adhered in place.
  • The Ornament was then assembled using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
• The top four Tabs were punched with the retired (⅛”) Handheld Punch and a (12”) length of retired Silver and White Sheer Ribbon was knotted and thread through the holes to close the “box”.
  • Note: If desired, add a gift or some candies before closing.
• An additional larger Snowflake, from the same Dies set, was die-cut and added to the top of the Ornament.
• The resultant Mother of Pearl Dots (from the center of the smaller Snowflake) were added to the folded edges and Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the center of each Snowflake for a bit of bling.

A pretty Ornament ready to add to your Tree.
