Welcome back! It is good to be back in the Studio…
Today’s Challenges: As You See It (#359) Recipe Ingredients; Festive Friday (#195) choosing Gold Foil, Metallic Thread, Embossing and Cream Coloring; Time Out (#299) for Gilded Frames and Antique Styling; and bringing it all together, the Sunday Stamps (#371) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
- Background Panel (5½” x 4¼”) Light Orange Damask patterned piece of paper from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper pack.
- Frames: (2” x 3½”) Brushed Gold cardstock pieces (retired but still in my stash) die-cut with both the (1¾” x 3¼”) and (1¼” x 2¾”) Stitched Rectangle dies from the Textured Notes Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Frame Insets: (1½” x 3”) Black and Cream Floral patterned pieces of paper also from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper pack.
- The Flowers were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Florals – Light Peach Pie and Timid Tiger; Leaves – Light Timid Tiger and Cajun Craze.
- Sentiment Label: Brushed Gold cardstock scrap.
- The truncated sentiment, Friends are Flowers, from the You Are Remarkable stamp set, another On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder and die-cut with the (1¼” x 1¼”) Postage Stamp die from the Perennial Postage Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and some retired Gold Cording Trim was added beneath it.
A pretty friendship card with a little antique flair.

I really like that muted gold in the frame and the sentiment, Jolanda, and the background has a kind of muted pattern as well ! It really helps those flowers stand out! Thanks for cooking up our recipe at As You See It!

I love those coloured panels Jolanda – so warm in their shades of orange and the muted gold frames set them off perfectly. A lovely sentiment too! Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It!
