Best Wishes – Birthday Card

Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#535) Sketch.  Today’s card can be found on page 42 of the September 2025 – December 2026 Mini Catalog.

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create.  I decided to go monochromatic with a clean and simple design.

My design choices were influenced by: Just Add Ink (#771) picking Patterned Paper, Plants and Pretties (Metallic Rub-Ons); Addicted To Stamps & More (#503) for the Greeting; and Krafty Chicks (#790) for the Style.

Here is the result:

METALLIC TEXTURES RUB-ONS – SUNRISE SAILING – CT535 – JAI771 – ATSM503 – KSS790

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Background Panel (4” x 5¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Banner Flags: (1½” x 4”) Basic Beige / Basic White Mini Grid patterned pieces of paper from the Gather Together Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product, punched with the retired Triple Banner Punch.
  • Circle: (2¾ x 2¾”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper die-cut with the (2⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The two Gold Leaf (Plant) images from the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons pack were selected and added to the Circle.
  • Sentiment Label: Early Espresso cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, best wishes, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, another On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and trimmed to (1⅝” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Circle and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals

A clean and simple birthday card in muted tones that would be nice for a fellow…
