Autumn Toile – Best Wishes

Welcome back!  Hoping that you are enjoying your Saturday and creating for World Card Making Day…

I have a nice autumn clean and simple card for you today.

The challenges: As You See It (#358) Favorite Fall Thing – Country Walks; Creative Colours (#213) for the Palette; CAS Colours & Sketches (#570) for the Style and Layout; and sharing with Inspire Create (#202) for their Fall Theme.

Here is the result:

SUNRISE SAILING – AUTUMN TOILE DSP – AYSI358 – CCC213 – CC&S570 – ICC202

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The sentiment, best wishes, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Garden Green ink.
  • Top Rectangle: (3⅝” x ½”) Daffodil Delight Mini Floral Diamond patterned piece of paper from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product still available but now on the Last Chance List.
  • Bottom Rectangle: (3⅝” x ¾”) Dark Wood (Early Espresso) patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Shape – Circle: A section of the Trees patterned paper from the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The scene was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Tree Leaves – Dark Daffodil Delight and Grassy Bits – a combination of Dark Old Olive and Light Shaded Spruce to approximate the Garden Green color.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Scene was popped up with Dimensionals.

A nice simple fall themed birthday card.

  2. Fall works are a great time to wrap up in cosy woollens and scarves – no nicer way to take advantage of crisper days for sure! I love the way your circle draws you in to that peaceful country scene Jolanda. Thanks for filling in the blank with us over at As You See It this week and for a great take on our CAS C&S sketch too!
