Many Happy Moments – Branching Out

Welcome back!  It’s Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend…

Today’s card was inspired by Berdien Weideveld, Design Team Member for Facebook’s Global Design Project (#516).  We are asked to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) her card.  I essentially used the layout for my card.

My design choices were influenced by: Facebook’s Colour INKspiration (#196) Palette; Can You Handle The Pressure (#25SEP27) Embossing with a Twist; and Just Us Girls (#795) Leaf Dies.

Here is the result:

BRANCHING OUT – EVERY CELEBRATION DIES – GDP516 – CI196 – CYHTP25SEP27 – JUGS795

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Early Espresso cardstock dry-embossed with the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Mats: (3½” x 5”) Gray Granite cardstock die-cut with the (1⅝” x 2⅜”) Postage Stamp die from the Perennial Postage Dies set.
  • Base Rectangles: (2½” x 4”) Basic White cardstock cut in four (1¼” x 2”) pieces.
  • Focal Image – Leaves: (2” x 5½”) Shy Shamrock cardstock die-cut with the Leave die from the Every Celebrations Dies set, a Paper Pumpkin Add-On product, still available but on the Last Chance List.
  • Sentiment Label: Summer Splash cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Wishing you a day filled with many happy moments, from the Branching Out stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
    • Using a (⅛”) Handheld Punch, two holes were added, and a double length of White Baker’s Twine was threaded through.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Sentiment Label was popped up with Dimensionals.

An eclectic set of colors but ideal for a cool Leaf card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
