Awash in Beauty – Birthday Wishes

Hi again! One more card for today…

This time around I am playing with: Cupcake Inspirations (#627) for the Palette; Krafty Chicks (#789) for the Theme; Freshly Made (#706) for the Sketch and sharing with Beautiful Blossoms (#33) as I chose to add Flowers.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper dry-embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
• Rectangle Support Strip: (2¼” x 5”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
  • The Top and Bottom (¾”) areas were colored with the retired Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker and then also dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
• Rectangle: (2¼” x 4”) Blushing Bride Watercolored Ombre patterned piece of paper from the retired Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle: (2¾” x 2¾”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Decoration – Flowers: Multi-Colored Floral patterned piece of paper, also from the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Pink Florals were chosen and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Label: Early Espresso cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Happiest Birthday Wishes, from the Branching Out stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was then punched out with the retired (1¾” x ⅞”) Oval Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

Pink and Brown is a lovely combination for this pretty Birthday card.
