Today I am combining a number to challenges that feature both clean and simple styling and stencils.
CAS on Friday (#318) with a sketch; AAA Cards (#299) with colors; Ellibelle’s I Spy (#30) something clean & simple; Seize the Birthday (#314) with both; and Just Us Girls (#794) stencil week.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Secret Sea cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using the Diamond Flower stencil from the retired Artistic Mix Decorative Masks set and a Sponge Dauber with Secret Sea ink, a vertical decorative line was created.
- The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, from the retired Watercolor Trio stamp set was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.
- Focal Image – Flowers: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using the four coordinating Flower stencils from the retired Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks set, colors were added with Blending Brushes. Colors Chosen: Petals – Highland Heather ink with a bit of Gorgeous Grape ink; Floral Center – Crumb Cake ink; Floral Center Details – Pecan Pie ink; and Leaves – Cloud Cover ink.
- The Floral image was then fussy cut with Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.
What a pretty birthday card.
