Sunrise Sailing – Boho Vibes Hey

Welcome back!  Already Friday…where did the week go?

Over at Facebook’s Stampin’ Through The Catalog, we are tasked to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card created by Cornelia Janssen, one of Stampin’ Up!’s Design Team Artisans.

I love her card; it is so bright and fun.  For my card, the elements I chose are Letters, Patterned Papers, and Cut Shapes and like Cornelia, I did not use stamps or ink.

My design choices were influenced by Krafty Chicks (#787) for a Masculine card and the Sunday Stamps (#369) Color Palette sporting a set of masculine colors and I chose to stay in the Blue Zone.

Here is the result:

SUNRISE SAILING DIES – LARGE LETTERS DIES – STTC – KCC787 – SSC369

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
  • Base Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Two (2” x 6”) Strips of the Blue Toned Arch section of one of the Arch patterned pieces of paper from the Boho Vibes Designer Series Paper pack were cut and added to the Base Panel in opposite directions matching the “wave” of the center arch and then the excess edges were trimmed.
    • The Panel was then die-cut with the Pattern of Friendship Die, still available but on the Last Chance List.
  • Letters: The H, E and Y dies from the retired Large Letters Framelits Dies set were die-cut from Misty Moonlight and Basic White cardstock scraps and adhered together for a shadow effect.
  • Shapes – Boats: Secret Sea and Cloud Cover cardstock scraps die-cut with the coordinating Small Boat dies from the Sunrise Sailing Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Top Sail was popped up with Mini Dimensionals.

A nice card for a fella for almost any occasion.
