So sad to say that my time as a guest designer with Just Add Ink is coming to an end. It was a pleasure to play along, and I am glad I was invited to the party.
This week at Just Add Ink (#770), we have a very soft and pretty Pink and Purple palette.

My overall design was influenced by: Paper Players (#756) to create a clean and simple watercolor card; Moving Along With The Times (#181) to add Dragonflies; and Shopping Our Stash (#557) for a Sympathy card.

I hope my card inspires you and I look forward to seeing what you create with these colors.
Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
- Card Front: (3¾” x 5”) Fluid 100 Watercolor paper.
- Watercolor Technique: Ink to Stamp and then the Stamp is sprayed with Water from a water-filled Stampin’ Spitzer, allowed to rest for a second or two and then stamped direct to watercolor paper.
- Dragonflies: Image from the retired Awesome Artistic stamp set colored with Stampin’ Write Markers, still available but on the Last Chance List. Colors chosen: Top Wing – Bubble Bath; Bottom Wing – Fresh Freesia; and Body – Highland Heather.
- Ferns: Images also from the Awesome Artistic stamp set. First stamping with Basic Beige ink and then over stamped with retired Soft Succulent ink.
- Sentiment: You are not alone…I’m here for you, from the Prairie Grass stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was also stamped with Soft Succulent ink.
That’s all folks. Super simple, just stamps, ink and paper for a delicate sympathy card.
I appreciate that you spent some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
