Special Delivery – A Cat in the Bag

Welcome back!  I am back from a few days of R&R and getting in a quick clean and simple card for a few challenge deadlines. 

Playing with: Shopping Our Stash (#556) for the subject; Seize The Birthday (#313) to add some embossing; Krafty Chicks (#786) for the card style and sharing with We Love Stamping (#07SEP25) because it is a cute card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Berry Burst cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Hive image from the retired Honey Bee stamp set was stamped with Fresh Freesia ink.  The edges were kissed with Berry Burst ink and then the image was stamped upside down to be a “Bag”.
  • A little shading was added with the Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool, the Lounging Cat image from the retired Love Cats stamp set was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the little “hearts” were colored with Fresh Freesia ink and then stamped in place on top of the “Bag”.
  • The greeting, Special Delivery, from the Fancy Borders stamp set, still available but on the Last Chance List, and the greeting, happy birthday, from the retired Spring Corners stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.

Keeping the card clean and simple, the card front was adhered to the card base.
