Christmas Cheer – Latte Love

Welcome back!  It is a glorious Saturday here, hoping it is lovely where you are….

Holiday play time!  The Christmas challenges: Krafty Chicks (#785); Jingle Belles (#2519) adding Metallic Elements; Caffeinated Christmas (#45) adding a Drink Element; and selecting the current Creative Colour (#210) Palette as a starting point.

Here is the result:

LATTE LOVE – TIMELESS TIDINGS – MERRY CAFE – KCC785 – JB2519 – CCCC45 – CCC210

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Real Red cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • Using a Wet Wash Watercolor Technique, Crushed Curry ink was added to the Panel with the Wide-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
    • Once dry, the sentiments Christmas and Cheer from the retired Merry Café stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
  • Cross Strips: Trim Stickers from the retired Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin’ Kit.  The Dotted Strip was colored with the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • Decoration – Coffee Mugs: (4¼” x 2¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
    • The Coffee Mug image from the retired Latte Love stamp set was outlined with the now retired Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, avoiding the vertical cup lines, and stamped twice.
    •  The Poinsettia image and part of the Holly image from the retired Timeless Tidings stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the Coffee Mugs.
    • The Poinsettia and the Holly were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen:  Poinsettia – Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and Real Red; Poinsettia Centers – Dark Daffodil Delight; and Holly – Light and Dark Shaded Spruce.
    • The Coffee Mugs were die-cut with the coordinating die from the retired Latte Love Dies set.
    • A scrap of Pecan Pie cardstock was die-cut with the Coffee die from the same set.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  Two (10”) lengths of retired Gold Cording Trim were doubled and allowed to swirl up from the edges.  The Coffee Mugs were added and popped up with Dimensionals.
